NEW USAT-SANCTIONED EVENT RULES:
• This triathlon is a USAT-Sanctioned Event.  All athletes must be registered with USA Triathlon.
All athletes will race in the division of their age on December 31st, 2021.  For example, if an athlete is 12 during all of the races, but turns 13 in December, he/she would race in the 13-15 division instead of the 11-12 division.
• Every athlete must present his/her USAT card at packet pick-up. No exceptions can be made.

PARKING: Parking will be available at the race site.   There will be plenty of spaces available at our races.  There is NO parking allowed on streets where the athletes will be competing.  All cars must be parked before the start of the race. There will be volunteers directing traffic to the parking area.

BODY MARKING: All participants must be marked at the body marking area (located near registration) 15minutes prior to the start of the race.

PRE RACE MEETING: A pre-race meeting will be held at 5-10minutes before the race.  We will cover as many details as possible about the race, and questions will be encouraged. This meeting should last a few minutes, with a smaller meeting prior to each swim wave with age-group specific details.

RESULTS: Preliminary results will be posted as soon as every athlete finishes the race.

POST RACE REFRESHMENTS
: There will be food and beverages for participants post-event.
Race Numbers: You will be issued race numbers at packet pick-up. The race number is your run number and must be displayed on the front of your body during the run segment of the race only. Safety pins will be available at packet pick-up if you don’t have a race number belt.

TRANSITION AREA: The transition area will have two entrances/exits. One entrance/exit will be for Swim Finish & Run Start. The second entrance/exit will be for Bike Start & Bike Finish. All participants will have their own numbered bike slot.

SWIM WAVE START: Athletes will race in their respective divisions.  All Relays and 13-19yr waves will go off first, followed by 11-12, and finishing with 5-6yr olds.
Splash n’ Dash will start with their proper age group.  They will swim, head to transition, then head out onto the run course.

BIKE COURSE: 2K (Loop – 1.8 Miles)

• Hard-shell helmets must be worn and fastened before leaving the transition area.
• Stay to the right to allow faster cyclists to pass on the left.
• There will be vehicle traffic on the bike course. Be careful and stay to the right!
• No headphones, earphones or any radio-type devices will be allowed.
• There are plenty of volunteers but it is ultimately your responsibility to know the course.
• This is a 1, 2, or 3 loop (depending on age-group) bike course on smooth residential roads. The course has rolling hills.
• Bike support will be provided before the race for pre-race assistance if necessary.

RUN COURSE : 1K (Loop – .62 Miles)
• The 1K (.62mile) course is a loop course. The course will be well marked, with directional signs at every turn on the run course. Look for these directional signs. There are chalk arrows on the course. Simple rule of thumb: If you don’t see one of these directional signs – keep going straight.

RELAY TEAMS:  Relay Teams: Swimmers will exchange chip straps with bikers at their designated bike rack location in the transition area. _ Bikers will exchange chip straps runners at the same location – your designated bike rack location in the transition area.  All relays will swim the distance of the longest course, which is the 13-15year old division distances

RULES
• Athletes must ride on the proper side of the road and are not permitted to cross middle lines in the road.
• No headphones, earphones or any radio-type devices will be allowed.
• Athletes must have their run number visible on the front of their bodies as they cross the finish line.
