Come see what the Cardinal Swim Team is about!
Summer swim team is a one-of-a-kind experience for swimmers ages 5-18 to learn competitive stroke in a fun, social environment. Swimmers learn freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, with competitive opportunities throughout the season to test out what they’ve learned and track their progress.
Cardinal Swim Coaches guide each practice and stroke education for each swimmer, offering nine practices per week. The Coaches also offer private lessons. Throughout the swim season, social opportunities for both swimmers and families increase the fun-factor of the team. Come see what the Cardinal Swim Team is about!
A Preseason Parent Q&A session is available here as a reference.

Swim team and Chrip Fees: Early bird registration will cost $140 per swimmer with a multi-swimmer family discount. Discounts will be given in increments of 5% per child starting with the second child (swimmer #2 is a discount of 5%, #3 is 10%, #4 is 15% and so on).
For registrations received after April 25th, fees are $150 per swimmer, with the same multi-swimmer discount described above. Shirts are not guaranteed before the first meet when registering after April 25th.
Registration will begin in March and will be available here.
Swim Team Expectations
- Communication: Information regarding practice, meets and critical events will be sent out to parents and swimmers via email, using the contact information included in your online registration forms and on the Cardinal Swim Team Facebook page. This is a closed group – so to join, search for the group within Facebook and submit a request to join.
- Swim Practice: Practice is offered morning and evening to meet the needs of family schedules. It is important that swimmers commit to practice at least 3 days per week, 4 or 5 days is best. We want swimmers to feel successful and see their growth over the season. With regular practice, we see great growth in the short season. The practice schedule can be found here.
- Volunteer/Meet Entry: In order for a successful season, volunteering is required. It is expected that every family that has a swimmer participating in a meet must volunteer. Every swimmer must have a representative at a HOME meet. AWAY meets require less, so you must have a volunteer at 2 of the 3 away meets to represent your swimmer. By signing up to volunteer you are signing your child in to swim in that meet. The volunteer link is how the coach will know to enter your child into that meet.
- City Meet: City Meet is essentially the final tournament of the season. It is HIGHLY encouraged that all swimmers participate. City Meet is what swimmers work all season towards, especially in order for their teammates to be able to participate in relays. If swimmers do not participate, some age groups do not have enough for a relay. Our parade theme is ZOO Animals.
Swimsuits
This will be the first year of a 2-year rotation for our team suit. We will plan on having try-on kits during and after Open House this year and will notify you of those try-on opportunities as they are scheduled.
Coach Jim recommends that each swimmer has swimming fins to be used during practice, if possible.
These items, plus other equipment, can be found on our team store at SwimOutlet.com.
Each swimmer will be provided with a team cap & shirt as part of their registration fees.
