Swim for Cancer at Cardinal

The American Cancer Society’s Swim for Cancer began in 1973 and has become a cherished tradition in the Greensboro swimming community. Each year, over 2,000 swimmers from summer swim programs within the Community Swim Association gather to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. This event is the largest fundraising swimming event in the country and the ACS’s longest running fundraiser—raising over $4 million in the fight against cancer.

Cardinal is Going All In

This year, the Cardinal Swim Team is turning Swim for Cancer into a full club-wide initiative. Whether you’re on the swim team or not, we invite all Cardinal members to participate and help us make an impact.

Why Participate?

  • The top fundraiser earns a coveted VIP parking spot at the pool
  • Join the Swim for Cancer Laps Party on June 21st
  • All swimmers earn tickets to “purchase” treats based on laps completed
  • 9:00 AM – Swim Team Participants
  • 10:00 AM – Non-Swim Team Participants
  • Entry into a drawing for a Greensboro Children’s Museum family pass or 4 Cardinal guest passes
  • Sleepy Headz Coffee Truck will be at the pool from 9–11 AM, donating a portion of sales
